Some great news, in March, we had a total of 14 books that were signed in between both meetings. As a reminder, books checked out are due back in the 3rd month after checking out. There are yellow reminder slips to use, if needed, to remind you of the date you checked out the book and when its due back.
More great news. Any current member who does a presentation can now request a book for their personal use.
A. KNC will pay the 1st $35 for the book requested.
B. Fill out the request slip and give it to the Librarian.
C. If the book is over $35, you will be contacted before the book is ordered to see if you want to pay the difference. Example – if you request a $50 book, and then you need to agree to pay the KNC the $15 difference before ordering.

BOOK REVIEW: “The Kennedy World in Medallic Art” by William R.
Rice, Whitman Publishing LLC, 2014, 284 pages.
If you’re a Kennedy aficionado, then this book is for you. Chapters on the Kennedy family, his presidency, celebrating his legacy, and remembering.
The Kennedy family is about JFK’s early life, military service, and pre-presidency. His presidency is about his inauguration, laws made, his wife and children, and the assassination. Chapters on his celebration include the Kennedy half dollar, worldwide memorabilia, tokens, coins, march medals, challenge coins, postage stamps and other items. There are pages with pictures of various bullion bars, elongated coins, hobo coins, paper money, and paperweights.
I didn’t realize there is a catalog of the Kennedy collections. The book has some nice information on designing the half dollar and the presidential dollar, with a couple pages on the paper money issued during his presidency. There were 92 challenge coins made with obverse and reverse picture of each. Appendix A is 50 pages, and each item has a catalog number, just an amazing number of items listed. No pictures in the appendix.
This is an amazing book with lots of information and very detailed pictures
throughout.
