History

The Kalamazoo Koin Kollector’s Klub, since renamed to Kalamazoo Numismatic Club (KNC), met for the first time in July 1960.

According to the original constitution… “The object of the Club shall be to advance the knowledge of numismatics along all lines, to assist in bringing about better cooperation between all persons, interest in coinage, circulation, classification, collection, sales, trades, exhibition, use and preservation of all coins, currency and medals; to promote popular interest…” and most importantly “bring members and friends into closer relation with one another and also promote friendly contacts, with interchange of ideas of mutual interest.”
